Read 'Just add water: Eildon loving its inflows' featured in The Age on July 5, 2011.
Thanks to an inflow of 4500 mega litres rising the lake level by 4cm over the past 24 hours, the level is now at 80%. This is the first time it has been at this capacity since 1997.

Its Movember again and time we all became involved in helping the research into Prostrate Cancer and Depression in men. We all have friends or know of someone who is affected by these common men's issues. At the Eildon Boat Club we are all able to help, we have proved our generosity many times before and I ask that you donate whatever you can to this worthy cause. It could affect anyone of us at any time, let's see if we (our Club) can make a substantial contribution.
Visit http://au.movember.com/mospace/1134222/ to donate and check the progress of my Mo, (only started yesterday). It will probably end up the scruffiest MO on the roughest head but I hope it will encourage you all to donate.
Regards,
Peter
Today we are very excited to see the lake level hit 60% for the first time since 1997. Heavy rainfall and floods have contributed to the significant inflows during the past few months. The webcam images from today have been included below for future reference.
The rains this year have been exceptional and we have passed the highest level we have had in the last twelve years. The inflows reached 99,000ML at one point with the level rising 150mm in an hour. We welcome the rains after so many years and will take all that can be sent down, however, our outdoor staff are happy to see a break in the weather for a few days to catch up on some well-earned sleep and to rest some aching muscles.
Most members will be aware by now that the Rubicon Bridge has been washed out at Tumbling Waters Reserve. The high river flow has made the bridge unusable and we are not aware exactly when it will be reopened. There are meetings planned for next week with council and the local businesses to ensure this bridge is repaired or replaced at the earliest opportunity. We will keep you informed as we receive more information.
The Wi-Fi system is now operational and access to the network can be arranged by contacting the Club Office and applying for a password to log on to the system. When requesting access to the Wi-Fi network you must have your member number available. Your member number can be found on your statement, if in doubt contact the Office.
There has been new Marine Safety Laws introduced into Parliament and we have attached a media release from the Minister of Roads & Ports, Mr Tim Pallas. There are changes that will impact on us at Eildon and we should all be aware of these and exactly how the “Marine Safety Bill” will effect us.
